Basia Bulat at the Ottawa Jazz Fest’s Benefit Concert
Basia Bulat is a rising star in the Canadian folk scene. She has been nominated for two Juno Awards — in 2011 for New Artist of the Year and again in 2014 for her album Tall Tall Shadow. On Thursday, Nov. 19, she performs songs from her upcoming album, Good Advice, at the Ottawa Jazz Festival’s annual benefit concert and live auction. Healthy Holiday Tricks and Treats with Stephanie Kay Nutrition
The festive season brings joy and merriment, along with turkey, cookies, candies, chocolates, and maybe a few extra pounds. Get a leg up on temptation this year by attending a free workshop with nutritionist Stephanie Kay. On Thursday, Nov. 19 starting at 7 p.m. Kay will share her tips for staying on course, as well as a few healthier alternative recipes to swap in this year. Samples, of course, will be had.
