It’s not without a tinge of jealousy that we write this post on Julie Thibault, whose website opens with ‘Kids like simple, playful, comfortable.’ Well, so do we! We especially love colourful pieces that make us feel like kicking up our heels every time we walk through the aisle of cubicles.

But until Thibault expands into adult-sized clothing, we’ll have to be content to admire from afar. (There are a few designs available in ‘big kid’ sizes, such as the classic sweatshirts with fun graphics. )

And there’s lots to admire at this Sussex Drive boutique. From 100% cotton baby blankets to fun-and-fruity hats, the clothes are lively and durable — just like kids!

The Look: Bright and energetic

Perfect for: Kids who play hard, and parents who don’t want to dress their children like mini-adults

USP: Thibault works out of the store, so visitors can watch projects unfold — and take comfort in knowing her stuff is truly local
