If ever there was a weekend to gobble up some pumpkin treats, this is it. Many bakeries and foodie shops are featuring our favourite fall flavour in a variety of guises…but some are only available until Halloween.

Here are some suggestions for where to get your pumpkin fix this weekend:

• Pasticceria Gelateria Italiana (200 Preston St.) has pumpkin gelato for the month of October only.
• The Red Apron (571 Gladstone Ave.) is selling whole pumpkin cheesecakes with cranberries.
• Thyme & Again (1255 Wellington St.) is making decadent soft pumpkin sandwich cookies with cream cheese icing. They are very good but even better are the autumn spiced shortbreads shaped like little leaves.
• The Piggy Market (400 Winston Ave.) is baking up fresh pumpkin pies tomorrow (pssst, dirty little secret: it’s make with acorn squash) as well as Jamaican pumpkin, collard green, and bacon soup.
