There are lots of burgers in Ottawa, but Fauna’s stand out. The more casual counterpart to the 80-day dry-aged rib-eye on the dinner menu, the burger is made from that same beef and is only on the lunch menu.
While it may appear daunting in size, one bite will alleviate any concerns — this burger is good to the last morsel. The accoutrements vary — a recent iteration included bacon, red pepper crisp, black garlic aioli, and smoked cheddar — but it’s always served with crispy fries or fresh greens, and it’s always delicious. $17
— Fauna, 425 Bank St.
