Great deal ($32)! Great venue (Arts Court)! Dominion Day is the place to be this Canada Day. Once again, Dominion City Brewery is hosting the most Canadian of parties — Table hockey anyone? Peach basketball? Great North trivia?
There will be beer, lots of it, including four brand-new brews by Dominion City, and foodie deliciousness by the likes of chefs Stephen Lasalle (Andaz Ottawa), Marc Doiron (town), and West de Castro (Clover). Seed to Sausage will be there, Culture Kombucha, and — yes! — Moo Shu Ice Cream.
If that’s not enough, there will be bands. Outside, Melodrama and DJ Acro will be keeping the beats bumping. Inside, the lineup includes The Adam Saikaley Quartet, hip-hop group TAPAS, and bluegrass duo The String Masons.
Tickets through Eventbrite, here.
City Bites Hot Tip: There’s a 12-5 session for day-timers looking to party the afternoon away before heading to Parliament Hill to catch the evening’s performers and bands. Night owls can sleep the day away, then show up in the thick of the action for the 6-11pm session. (Each session maxes out at 350 guests and tickets sell fast, so book early to avoid losing out.)
City Bites BONUS Hot Tip: Want to attend the party for free? Dominion City is looking for extra hands for both sessions. Volunteers will also get to attend a Volunteer Appreciation Night on the Wednesday before the event (June 30), where they can sample the four new beers before anyone else.
