End of summer night market pairs 20+ food vendors + music Aug 31

End summer on a high note, hanging out in the open air, listening to tunes, chowing down — and, most importantly — supporting a great cause.

Rock the Block is the culmination of a summer of innovative Friday-night markets that have been held in the parking lot of the Bethany Hope Centre. Known as Night Market on Fox, the series of markets, which launched in June, have highlighted the wares of more than two dozen food entrepreneurs, small businesses, and crafters.

Vendors have ranged from pastry chefs to honey producers and ice cream experts to dumpling makers (visit website to see a full list of each week’s vendors).

During the August 31 Rock the Block event, the musical lineup includes Grace Bakker from CTV’s The Launch and Matt Chaffey of The Split.

Come discover the next big thing (in food AND music)!

Dumplings seen and eaten at the market!

Find it: Rock The Block season finale takes place from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 at 820 Woodroffe Ave. in the parking lot off Fox Street.

Hot Tip: Can’t make the Rock the Block event but suffering FOMO? You can still support the Centre’s programs (and pick up lots of tasty treats) with a visit to the regular Friday Night Market on Fox (Aug. 17 and 24, 5-9 p.m.). Bonus for parents: There are picnic tables and a children’s playground on-site.
