Quel fromage! Fauxmagerie turns 5, partners with Beau’s for beery “cheddar”

Just in time for its 5th birthday, Alexandria’s vegan cheese maker, Zengarry Fauxmagerie, has teamed up with Beau’s Brewery to launch a new cashew cheese.

Intrigued? You should be. Ale Aged Cheddar, we’re told, is a sharp cheddar-style cashew cheese cultured with beer from the Beau’s barrels.

And those who have tried it, like it a lot. The accolades continue to pile up for this dairy-free treat — in the past year, Zengarry’s fauxmage was voted Most Innovative Product at the 2017 Grocery Innovations Canada Show and Best Artisanal Vegan Cheese at the 2017 Toronto Veg Food Fest.

Find it: The launch date is June 14. After that, look for the Ale Aged Cheddar in the cheese department of Whole Foods.

Hot Tip: Not quite sure what to do with your wheel of fauxmage? Visit the Faumagerie Zengarry website for recipes, including mac and cheese and fondue ideas that highlight the new Ale Aged Cheddar.
