What’s going on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4
Malak Karsh Photo Exhibition Opening Reception
“Malak brings to his work his unnerving eye and unconditional love – and patient endurance! Sometimes to capture a moment one must wait an eternity – until the light is perfect, until the shadow is graphic, until the rain has stopped, or until the view from the small, lurching airplane spirals towards the decisive image,” Yousuf Karsh once said of his older brother. Malak Karsh moved to Canada from Turkey and was instantly infatuated with its landscapes — so much so that he dedicated his life to capturing its beauty. Join the Ottawa Art Gallery on November 4 at 5 p.m. for the opening of Malak: A Photographic Love Story, a new exhibition of his work.
