What’s going on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30
Wine & Food Show
Once upon a time, Wine and Food Show was one of the only opportunities for Ottawans to put on cocktail attire and have a fabulous night out. This year, their 30th anniversary, and it is still touted as one of Ottawa’s greatest events. Beginning on Friday, Oct. 30 and running until Sunday, Nov. 1, stop by, socialize, and sample. If you’re heading there on the eve of Halloween, come in costume — they will be having an Haute Halloween party with cocktails to match. Also look for Ace of Spades Champagne, which we featured, here. Tickets start at $20 (for Sunday – in celebration of their 30th). Purchase them here and see website for detailed schedule of such seminars as “Host for the Holidays.”

Rocky Horror Picture Show
The first screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show — a perennial favourite — at the Mayfair takes place Friday, Oct. 30 at 9:15 p.m. and will run several times after. Advance tickets are now on sale at the box office and — trust — you should take advantage. Nobody does Rocky Horror like the Mayfair. Costumes encouraged. And remember, they use real butter on their popcorn! $10 for members, $15 for non-members.
