This week, we take a look inside a unit in a new development that aims to set a new bar for apartment living.

It’s a brand new building, so not much history here — and that’s part of the draw. Who among us hasn’t cursed the previous tenants of their rental? Here, you just get that new-apartment smell. In terms of the neighbourhood, it offers close proximity to the big box stores and cinemas of Gloucester Silver City (WalMart, Loblaws, Chapters) and of course that LRT line (when it eventually opens).
The 228 units are open-concept and come with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, in-suite laundry, and large balconies. Boasting a modern look that’s more like a hotel or a condo than what an apartment, the developers say that Frontier is “a complete contrast to much of the aging rental stock in the city.”

Biggest selling point(s)
The location beside Confederation Line means tenants can quickly escape to (or from) the busy downtown. Views are pretty sweet too.
Possible deal breaker
When will the LRT be ready? Given the news coming out of city hall, potential tenants will need a back-up means for transportation until it’s ready to roll.
