Spring! It’s all about colour, wedges, 70’s glam. Right? Well, someday we might will be sporting bright tanks, open-toed wedges, and tailored shorts, but the weather in Ottawa these days is nothing short of miserable. Like a visit to a whiny girlfriend who can’t seem to leave that bad boy, the gloomy atmosphere is palpable.

Maybe we need to help. Maybe, with the right accessories and transition pieces, we can nudge Spring out once and for all.

And if Spring is anything like me, a great trench can go a long way. This year, I’m considering going beltless. Gasp! It sounds bold, especially for me, a lover of well-tailored lines. But this green tone (left, $39.99, Winners), not to mention this weather, has me pulling out all the stops.

Sarah Fischer, on the other hand, is going for something more girly — something bright and beautiful from Wellington West shop Flock Boutique.
