The ByWard Market was buzzing Saturday evening as fashionistas gathered for the grand opening of Bella Boutique, one of Montreal’s hottest formalwear stores. The shop, which first arrived in Montreal in 2001, has opened its doors in the capital with a gorgeous new shop at 55 Murray St.

Bella, which specializes in beautiful evening gowns, features pieces that are incredibly unique with exquisite detail – and their opening kick-off was as sophisticated as the dresses. Saturday night’s opening featured a fashion show that showcased Bella’s spring 2016 collection. Billing itself as the “one-stop boutique for Montreal’s elite society,” the store’s owner and designer, Laura Iannizzi, says her store will bring Hollywood glamour to Ottawa.

Iannizzi adds that she is delighted and thrilled to be bringing her dresses to the nation’s capital and describes the style of her designs as inspired by, “Red-carpet Angelina Jolie, very sleek and clean.” She noted that simple and clean lines can be very hard to find and that designers in Los Angeles are pushing this look more and more.
Iannizzi’s dresses offer a modern twist on classic evening wear – striking details and beautifully structured.

And Bella seems to have loyal customers — several guests at the fashion show had travelled from Montreal to catch a glimpse of the new line. After the show, excited guests mentioned already owning different pieces and that they are the perfect choice for milestone events — galas, the holiday season, weddings and engagement parties, as well as for girls attending prom.
